By-the-Canal-Fiddle Camp

By-the-Canal-Fiddle Camp is located 10 kilometers south of Ottawa at the RCMP Campsite, Long Island Locks, Manotick, Ontario. The campus includes 14 cabins, washrooms, a covered barbeque pit and picnic tables. The camp is run by The Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Championship.

It's  designed for fiddlers and pianists who want to learn old-time fiddle tunes and piano accompaniment. The emphasis is on playing by ear. There are classes for beginners, intermediate and advances players. Piano players should have a basic knowledge of chords.
