Vision Nouvelle is a
church-affiliated school in Delmas, Haiti
offering an enriched music program to its students.
Though the school is designated as private,
it is open to children of all income levels.
The earthquake damaged the school, leaving only a
small section standing.
However, the school is still operating, unlike many
others.
The music program is connected to Canada
through violinist and teacher Yvrose
Philippe-Auguste
who operates a music camp for Haitian children in
Ottawa every year.
She is assisted by l’Église Évangelique Baptiste
d’Ottawa, 284 King Edward Ave.
